REWE Group

What was the problem?

REWE is one of the biggest supermarket brands in Germany. The company needed an entire new job website. The website was highly complex and cluttered with information unrelated to the relevant user journeys. The new site focuses on the five essential user goals, with the biggest emphasis on job search.

What was the proposed solution?

The goal was to develop a new career website for REWE Group. It was intended to be much leaner and focus primarily on the main user journey, which is to find a job at REWE Group. Users should be able to find a job at the Group with just a few clicks. At the same time, the versatility of the company should be conveyed both visually and in terms of content.

What was the approach?

To develop the new career website, the existing live site was initially analyzed according to UX heuristics and its sitemap. The next step involved prioritizing the content through extensive benchmarking and user analysis, which included reviewing target audience studies. Subsequently, personas were developed, a new sitemap was proposed, user journeys were demonstrated, and wireframes were created based on this. These wireframes were then implemented in the UI.

The result

The result is a modern, user-friendly career website that primarily promotes jobs at the REWE Group. Jobs from other sales lines are also featured in the job board. Target audiences receive clear and easily scannable information on their respective destination pages about the benefits of working at REWE, their opportunities for advancement, and their potential family-like work environment.
